I really enjoy visiting the mountainous desert outside of Tucson, Arizona. The heat blankets me – relaxing my muscles and inviting my body to slow down.
Besides the muscular sigh of slowly walking through the desert, the environment is visually stunning. Whether it’s a family of rocks (who knows how many centuries old they are!) or a thistle-y shrub, the whole world is teeming with color and is beautiful in its own way. The hues feel like they’ve been boiled down to their truest selves – dusty sage, deep umber, burnt red.
